Fly tying demo...

There will be a fly tying demo at the South Ogden High Country Flyfishers. This is all free to everyone. It will begin at 9:00 am and end around 11:00 am. High Country in conjuction with Paul Stimson is putting a series of demos and information session together for this winter. It will be held every Saturday. The 5th of January will be Robert Williamson tying woven body flies. The 12th will be Mike Day tying hair flies.

I'll advise on others as they are made know.

Thanks for the plug. Just to expand a little. If you've seen the woven flies don't let this stop you from coming. I'll be tying some air-filled flies, chain-stitched flies and show a new technique for using sheet foam. It should be lots of fun. Come in, introduce yourself and get to know the shop and the people who hang there.

I was going to put a plug in for Mike Day. If you've never seen Mike tie, you are in for a treat! Many of the tricks I've learned that make my tying more enjoyable have come from the mind of Mike Day. He ties professionally and his hair flies are some of the best I have ever seen.
