Default Oakley polarized tints

My action optic polarized glasses bit the dust last weekend. Reading through previous posts, I've decided to just get another pair of lenses for my Oakley Half Jackets rather than getting another pair of glasses. My question is what tint of the polarized to I get?? They make many different colors, I don't want to get something that is counter productive. I just need a general purpose lens for fishing rivers and some stillwaters in daylight. I've read the deep blue or shallow blue are best, but I can't get those without sending in frames or buying a new set up. I just want to walk into the sunglass hut and stick them in the frame and head to the river.

Any thoughts??

I have polarized fire (stoner) lenses for my Oakley half jacket. I really like them on cloudy days because they are bright. One downside is they scratch easily.

VR28 or high vis yellow for the canyon and gold iridium for the lakes.

BN,

I was formally the Oakley fishing rep for Washington and Oregon as of a couple months ago. I've fished in nearly all of the available Polarized lenses. You're right, the Shallow Blue is fantastic, but you'll not be able to get replacement lenses for your Half Jackets

Go with either the Bronze Polarized or the VR28 Polarized. Both are fantastic fishing lenses and suitable for a wide range of lighting. I feel the Bronze excels at slightly lower light scenarios, while the VR28 in slightly higher light. Go with the VR28 Black Iridium for bright days.

If I had to pick one, it would be the Bronze. Good luck.
