Default Henrys Lake

I was going to go to Henrys Lake on the 13-15th of June.. All the guys I were going to go with are dropping out. I am going alone if I have to.. Last year at this time I caught a dozen fish over 5 pounds and some nice 18 inch brookies. When we left to come home are fingers had blisters from pulling out so many hooks and releasing fish. I have a 14-foot Tracker boat and plan to camp.. If anyone wants to meet there or carpool let me know. I need to meet some new people to fish with, all my friends are losers.... Robert

Default question for you

Where is Salem Utah? What type of fishing are you going to be doing? What time are you leaving morning evening etc. Camping, tent etc.

Thanks in advance.

Default Henrys Lake

Salem is about 15min south of Provo, next to Spanish Fork. I was going to leave Wednesday after work 5pm, and I going to fish half of the day on Saturday and head home. There is a state park up there with showers and camp sites, and lots of other campgrounds around the area. You also can camp for free at other sites. I do alot of trolling with a fly rod and pick up alot of fish that way. I also drift with the wind and strip flys. I use sinking lines from a #2 to a #6. Henrys is really weather related so some sometimes it is to windy to fish. There are so many other places to fish up there..Madison, Henrys Fork of the Snake the list goes on.....Robert

Default Henrys

Robert, we'll be up there at the same time as you. Gonna meet a friend at Hebgen Sunday the 9th and we'll fish it Monday also. Henrys the rest of the week until Friday. We'll be at the Cliffs again.
Look for the Cardiac Canyon kickboats. Mine is red and Joni's is yellow

The mint green boat was my neighbors boat, I final broke down and bought a boat. I think the report from Henryslake.com has not come out yet. I talked to a lady from the Wild Rose and she said that the fish that came to the hatchery were bigger than last year, and the water level was up. Sounds good to me.. Robert

Try our Web Site....

www.henryslake.com

The opener was great but fish were still quit scattered throughout the lake. There were more large fish caught during this opener that in the last five years....lake will be stabilized at 65,000 acre feet. The boat ramp at the state park will close shortly, so the only boat launching facilities will be at Staley's Springs and Wild Rose.
