The Quiet Places...

Simply as a reminder to all of you... If you have a quiet stream or river that you enjoy wetting a line on, I would absolutely, positively *not* mention it here in these forums! If you feel a sense of solitude when you're standing by the water, there's a good reason. People probably don't know where you are. Sharing the quiet places with people that you know and trust is one thing, sharing them with thousands of people who may or may not share your views on preservation and etiquette is another thing entirely.

These forums are an incredible tool that can be harnessed in either a positive manner or in a negative one. The only way to control the way in which it's used is to control what you post. You can't control what people do with the information found here. So please, having said that -- share patterns, share ideas, share techniques, share reviews and knowledge, even share your report on the Lower Provo... Just think twice about sharing the quiet places.
