View Full Version : Upcoming class - Tying with the Experts

Come and learn while tying with some of the finest fly tyers from Montana, Idaho, and Utah. This eight week class will feature a different expert tyer (or tyers) each week beginning Wed., January 12. There will also be two Saturday afternoon sessions followed by a dinner and fly fishing program. Cost will be $40.00 for the eight-week class. Dinner programs will be extra. Logan City Schools and Cache Anglers jointly sponsor this class. For further information contact Larry Swanger, 435-753-0435. Class size will be limited so early registration is a must. Wed., January 12 - 7-9pm.; 8 weeks. $40 to be paid to the Cache Anglers which includes materials for tying (you must provide your own equipment). Classes will be held in the Logan High School Cafeteria.

If you would like to sign up for this class you can register by mail. Make your check payable to Cache Anglers and mail to 101 West Center, Logan, UT, 84321. You may also register in person at the same address.

The first expert will be Lance Egan, AKA Carpman. You can learn to tie the Rainbow Warrior and others, including a carp pattern or two.

First class runs from 7-9pm.

Thanks for trying to make me sound like an expert, even though I'm not....

To those who participated in the class, thanks for putting up with me, and listening to my blabber for a couple hours. I only hope you had as much fun as I did....

For those that weren't there, you missed a fair amount of Carp blabber. Lots of questions and interest in my favorite mis-understood fish.....

a fun class. It was nice to meet you Lance. Thanks for coming up.
Am looking forward to testing the flies we learned to tie. Testing to start this Saturday!

Lance, You are not only an expert, but humble as well.

I thought is was fun too, and the entire class was inspired by your skills and patterns. And I think you got a couple of people sold on the benefits of a rotary vise as well as thinking of giving the Golden Ghost a chance.
