I know it has been brought up before ( but what hasn't) but I am wondering about using glues to put on the reel seat. Does anyone use something besides epoxy that is as good? How much flex do you need in the adhesive for the reel seat and grip?

My experience with Gorilla glue has only been with wood, & not a good one. It is not flexible enough for the harsh (swamp cooler) Utah climate.
Hope this helps

I've used it on 2 reel seats. I think it will hold up fine but the stuff offgases pretty bad as it cures so you need to be careful how much you use and be prepared for the bubbles.

Dan M. is right, it will bubble/expand. Don't use too much, but it holds extremely well.
