I want a fast action 7wt. to throw big bugs with and that will handle the wind on the South Fork. Is this a good option?

I own one. It was a factory built rod and is very fast, almost to fast. I do not use it all that much, mostly to chuck big double bunnies. If you can get it for under $80, I would do it.

Do you have a #6 or #7 weight line on yours? Would a #7 slow it down a bit?

I use a long WF7 and a WF8 sink tip. Love it
