For the longest time I've been thinking of posting this, well today's the day. I hate tying certain bugs. PTs, HEs, Scuds, and sometimes EHCs are the flies that I just can't seem to tie effectively. HEs especially. I was wondering if anyone would be interested in doing a swap/trade. I tie some fly that I'm good at and they would tie one of those flies that I'm not good at and then we would switch, that way we can profit from eachother's specialties.

So to start it off, I am good at tying the following:
yong specials
mylar minnows
royal wulffs
RS2s and WD40s
Senior Fish's pollywogs (or a variation of such)
Adams (to an extent) and I getting better at tying conehead muddlers
I can also tie wooly buggers fairly effective in a variety of paterns as well.

If any of you want to make a trade, I'd be open for a deal. Samples could be provided if neccessary. What flies do you hate tying and what flies are you good at?

I HATE tying #@$%&%$ Irresistibles!!!

One of the 1st flies that really kicked my butt as a 10 y.o. beginning tyer. I thought it would impress my Dad and his buddies if I could tie it and was determined to master the pattern with my junkie Herter's Fly Tying Kit. I still live with the emotional scars of the "irresistable episode". I can tie it now, but I still hate it!

The lady of the house (usually armed with a vacuum cleaner when she enters the "Man Cave") hates that fly almost as much as those little wisps of maribou that float around for weeks after a wooly/crystal bugger production run.

Because of this, I pretty much hate everything about that pattern in general, including fishing it.

It's not even that good-looking, as is a well-tied Para-Adams or a Royal Wulff. If that $#@% fly was a woman, it would probably look like a cross between Rosanne Barr and Whoopee Goldberg.
