Thanks Norm!
For those who didn't attended last nights Cache Angler's meeting we were treated with an awesome lesson on the finer points of bamboo rod building. What an art! I really enjoyed the lesson on silk lines too.
Who did you say manufactured silk lines?
Have you thought about teaching a building class?
And do you plan on selling your rods someday?

I hope I was able to shed some light on things for some of the folks in attendance. And thanks for the killer Cookies! I had to keep slapping my own hand on the way home so there would be some left for the kids when I got home.

Olaf Bourg has a good selection of silk lines and he even has free shipping.
He sell both the Pheonix silk lines and the J P Thebault silk lines. There are some good articals and good links on this web site.

Some day down the road I would teach a class but I need to collect some more tools.

Selling Rods, probably not alot, except for a few freinds and familys.
Takes to long.

And Cary;)

Really wish I could have been there, but I had other commitments that I couldn't get out of.

However, I still plan on coming over to you place some evening and checking out some of your rods and tools (if the invitation is still open)

I start my last graduate class on Monday, so there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

Norm, I think we may have to book you for a Stonefly Meeting sometime soon. I don't think you'll get any good cookies, but I'm sure we could come up with something. Maybe some used flies or something. I'll be in touch.
