Last night we met to discuss the Logan River salmonfly introduction. We decided on December 4th. We will meet near the bridge at the mouth of the Blacksmith Fork River at 11 am. There is a parking lot on the left right after you cross the bridge. Several of us will collect water from the Logan River prior to this to store the critters during their trip to the Logan River. We will collect a variety of sizes of salmonflies and put them in coolers for the trip to the Logan River.

For those that are coming to participate I suggest bringing waders and if you have an extra ice chest that might be used bring that as well. Several of us are bringing ice chests, but if we get a big turnout we might need more. I have about a dozen nets I can bring to collect the critters with. If you have a insect collection net you should bring one along. If anyone has an extra aquarium aerator and a DC to AC converter that they can plug into a cigarette lighter to power the aerator they should bring this along too so they we can aerate the water in the coolers.

If you have any questions feel free to contact me. flyswaps@hotmail.com

I'll pencil it in. I imagine this has all been cleared with the powers that be? I just don't want to show up and then get in trouble for transporting aquatic creatures.

Sounds fun!

I suggest bringing waders

Thanks for the suggestoin. I was planning on wet wading in december but since you suggest the wadder idea. Ill have to wear wadders. Ill be there. Only question is will there be snow blocking the turnout at that spot.

Raw: Opps we meant to schedule this for 11pm so we can do this under the cover of night. Ok I'm joking. Yes, this has all been cleared and we are good to go. Hope to see you there, this will be a very exciting project to assist with and watch.

The date for the Salmonfly relocation has been changed to December 11th due to scheduling problems. Please change this on your calendars. Everything else will remain the same. If any of you have any questions let me know.

I would like to help out! I will see if I can get some more support from Weber Basin Anglers, in addition to RAW. I have a 2 plug inverter that I will have with me.

RAW maybe we should carpool? Let me know if interested.

I work the second Saturday of each month. It's pretty much a mandatory thing. So the new date will keep me from participating. Sorry.

Just thought i would bring this back up.
Does anyone know how long this will run. Are we going to fish the logan afterwards, or thaw out at Angies, or we could go shoot at the 3-d "Sub for santa shoot" the archery club is putting on. Anyways looking forward to seeing some people there. looks like it will warm up to the 40's thats good.
