Our next get together will be Wednesday Oct 13th at 6:30pm at Western Rivers. We are having Brian Westover of West Water Products sharing his spinning deer skills and flies with us. If you would like to learn some unique techniques and tricks with spinner deer hair and tying deer hair flies, this should not be missed. Brian is an accomplished tyer and has some of the most original deer hair creations that you will ever see. I will try and get a couple pics of some of his flies and post them. See you all then.

Jason, I haven't been to one of these in a while. Can I just come and watch? Provided, of course, that the wrangling over elk tags is over by Wed night.....

Is the SL Fly Tying Club a membership/dues type of thing or just a bunch of people getting together and tying some on?

JW, it'll be nice to see you there. Since we're having a demo I think most of us will be 'watching' and not tying much. In fact, I probably won't even bring my stuff.
Paul, I guess it's been customary for the 'regulars' to contribute $20 to cover the occassional pizza and beverages or tying materials. Don't worry about it if you're a 'one timer'. Can you make it?

I'll have to see how my schedule plays out for next week in the evenings, but I would really like to. I know absolutely nothing about tying with deer hair but want to learn...

I too would like to be a lurker at the meeting. I have meaning to visit a meeting for some time now. I will try and make it.
My hair flies could definately benifit from some good examples.

for pulling that together last night. I am totally excited to spin some bass poppers now. Last night was terribly informational/inspirational.
