A few questions about midge patterns.
What midge dry fly patterns do you prefer for these bodies of water:
Lower Provo:
Middle Provo:
Weber River:
Still water:
What times of the year do midge drys work the best?
Thanks in advance.

first, you must buy me lunch and fill up my truck with gas (tank, that is) before I pass on my elightened opinion.

Fill? I have never asked anyone to FILL my truck with gas. That's a bit lofty but if you take me all the way to the river and show me how to do something I don't know how to do I'd be glad to split the gas and buy lunch.

I have had the best luck on all those waters with a simple griffiths gnat with a zebra dropper. Come to think of it I have caught alot of fish on a disco midge pattern as well on the weber and provo rivers. So I would have to stick with those three patterns as far as midges go. Stillwater midge fishing is great, I have done awesome at the berry on a frostbite midge tied on a 200R hook with a few mods of my own

in fact today up at the berry I did alright with the frostbite midge right off the dam. Has anyone else noticed that the kokes are spawning up there right now? I saw a pair of kokes cruising the dam, whats up with that, are they lost or will they spawn in the actual reservoir?
