Does anyone know if they make 'Swedish Dry Fly Hooks'? :-)

I want to tie some of Gary LaFontaine's 'Dancing Caddis' flies and are having a problem locating the hooks recommened to tie the fly.

I've tried a few hook sources but so far no success and need to tap the 'knowledge bank'.

Thank You

O, as much as i hate to say it, i think that fly is not that good, especially with the hassle of finding the hooks. you can get them from Greycliff books (the book mailer). but skating a goddard caddis (if you want a really high floating bug) or stimulator does the trick.....

Partridge of Reddich used to make them, and perhaps they still do. Do a search for you might carry the Partridge line if Greycliff can't provide them.

help from my friends.

So I'm looking for these Swedish Dry Fly Hooks. which I still think ought to be made by the girls on the Swedish Bikini Team, and I'm imformed who manufactors the hook. It is a Partridge hook mfg. by Reddich of England.

I first go to Gary LaFontain's site "Greycliff" and the hooks are $12.50/25, not inexpensive. Well there is always someone starting out or does not have a large overhead or simply does not charge as much.

Cutting to the chase I've found a site "flyfishing network that sells them for, wait for it, -------------$4.98/25. They also sell a lot of other hooks at similar prices.

I'm making a list, and it ain't for Xmas.
