Will be camping and fishing at Mantua this weekend while the wife attends the "Festival of the American West" in Logan. Kind of a win / win situtation for both of us. Would like to hear any suggestions on good locations on the lake, and fly patterns to use especialy for Blue gill, and bass. I've had some very good success in catching bows in the spring during the past three years from my pontoon. However, I have only fished in a few locations on the lake. I have caught a few bass, and an occational blue gill during these trips. I have never fish Mantua during the summer months. Would like to know any areas where I could help my wife, son, and daughter-in-law catch a few gills, and maybe a bass. The past few weeks I have been able to start the fly fishing fire with my wife after she experience good success fishing at Current Creek, and in the Uintahs. I would like to continue to build on to her excitement. THANKS, I appreciate you HELP!!!

Best fishing once the light leaves the water. Work the shoreline/trees with anything small for the 'gills, poppers for the bass. For daytime fishing, leeches/buggers work.

DON"T WET WADE! Swimmers' itch will kill that fire faster than kids coming in the room on saturday night!
