Has anyone fished these lakes in Little Cottonwood Canyon recently? I'm thinking about hiking up there in the next day or two and wondered if the fish have been looking up. thanks.

Hey baetisman, I tried to email you or PM you and you have those options turned off. Email me.
If anyone has any responses to baetisman's request, I'd also be interested and grateful to hear it.

For someone reason I'm not able to e-mail or pm anyone. I can't get access to the info. I just signed up yesterday so does it take awhile for this to be activated?

long, hard hikes to those lakes for some pretty crappy fishing. they just stocked them last year: full of little fishies. if you wanna fish hi country lakes, go to mirrow lake hiway. if you want cottonwood fishin, hit big cottonwood.

Last year I took my son on a hike up to Upper and Lower Red Pine. We went the wrong time of day (between 1 and 5 p.m.) and the wrong time of year (the cutts were spawning and didn't seem real interested in feeding). But we saw lots of decent fish. A couple of the fish pushed 20". I just want to make sure I time it right (if possible).

Baetisman, how old is your son? Does he fly fish? I usually am flyfishing with my ten year old.

My son is 14 and he is finally starting to like flyfishing.
