Guys, I got a hold of an old Brooklure bamboo rod and it's in pretty good shape. It's even still in the original rod case and has an extra tip piece. I tried to find some info on the web but nothing came up. I'm curious to know how old the rod may be and what the value is. Is anyone familiar with the Brooklure's, where they were made, by whom, history, etc? Any resources?

Also, I've got a Wards Precision automatic reel as well. It's a little nicked up but it still works great. It even has an old braided nylon line on it.

I'm not clear if it is a 3-piece rod with two tips sections (total 4 pcs) or a standard rod of one lower section and two tip sections.

The Wards automatic reel as far as I know was made by the South Bend Co. of South Bend, Indiana for Montgomery Wards of Chicago and sold through their chain of retail outlets and of course their catalog.

Sorry it's a cheapie but may have some value to someone who like old reels or someone who collects Wards memorabeliea because his grandfather work for them. You never can tell "one man's trash is another man's treasure.
