Has anybody fished sand hollow? I am going down that way in a week or two, and was just wondering if it is worth stopping there. Also are there any other places to fish in that area? Other than GUNLOCK DAM.

I had a ton of good action for large mouth before the lake got popular but now, people are all over every inch of good habitat and the fish are harder to find. I'll bet somebody that actually knew what they were doing could catch a few from sand hollow. Quail and Gunlock are generally great LMB fisheries, with a few other species being prevelant. Tat reminds me. I was at Hurst/Ace Hardware and I saw a picture of a 24" trout caught out of Gunlock. Pretty nuts. Anyone ever heard of trout that low on the Santa Clara?

So should I not even try to go to sand hollow? I have fished gunlock alot, but I guess one more time wont hurt. Where are the best places to go at gunlock? I have been fishing at one of the turn offs right by the pay area, but it is getting prity boaring. Are there any other places to fish that are not to far from ST. GEORGE main area?

I was just wondering about some little ponds that are just down the street from the old race track, by Dixie Downs?

Does anyone know anything about the little ponds by the Old Race track and Dixie Downs in St. George?
