I am trying to plan a back-packing trip in the next month or so. Has anybody ever done the Buck Pasture hike in the Uintas?

The trailhead is WestFork-Blacks Fork. We are looking to fish the West Fork Blacks Fork on our way to Dead Horse Lake (I don’t know if we will make it to the lake if the fishing is good).

If you have done the hike and fished the stream/river and have some info, please email me. Thanks.

Well, plan on not getting to the lake, the fishing is a blast up there. I was up there on sat, but I didn't fish the west fork cause it was muddy, as well as the middle fork, so I went to the east fork and caught some cutts and whities. I fished the west fork in june, but got skunked, which was surprising, like the fish just disappeared? Ive caught fish up there till my arms were going to fall off some days. Rain is a concern up there on the west fork. Last year when solo and I went up there, it was runnin' fine for about ten minutes, then it started to rain and the water turned into mud. All in all, your bound to love it up there. Does dead horse lake have grayling in it?
