I am heading down that way this weekend and I was wondering if anyone has hit this reservoir lately, and if they have, if they would be so good as to email me a report. I know it is midsummer so it will most likley be a little slow, but any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Dustin

Water levels are dropping quick. Last weekend I was camping at Tamarisk point and it was all moss except for the old river bed. I didn't even fish it but I hear it's still good.
Good time to get out since it looks like it might be all drained out this year.

They can't drain OCR all the way down. By law they need to leave a pool equivalent to 8% of capacity. The Water Users Association has already said they will take it down to the minimum pool.

which could be interpreted to be good news (?). Right now it is at 9%, which means they can only keep the gates open for a little bit longer....then the gates will be closed, and the river in Kingston Canyon will be fishable once again...

Heck I don't know about you guys but 8% is basically drained.

OCR bottoms out. But it will actually increase by fall. They will start diverting water from the EF of the Sevier back into OCR. 8% seems low. But it really isn't. My guess is it less than 20% now. I may be wrong, but you will see 8% in just a few weeks. That is the nature of OCR.
