Hey Slayer they are hatching at JayMorr's. The hatch was "Epic". Flying around in my flytying study. Had to get some Stellar pics. It was an absolute orgy.

If anyone is interested in a zip file of all the pics let me know. I will zip them all up.


PS. Chris you need any wings??

Nice. What do you got, an aquarium at home full of nymphs from the river? A little home hatching at Jaymorr's place?

My guess is that they're Heptageniidae Epeorus; Little Yellow May. I don't think they're PED's because PED's have a second set of small wings that are very distinct, these do not.

The other mayfly in the pics with speckled wings is a callibaetis.

Have you figured out where they're coming from Jay? You're rain gutter?

Not sure where they are coming from. Possibly the rain gutter that was filled with water until spring....maybe the golf course ponds. Not to far from a few of the ponds. Pretty cool though. I am still seeing lots of Callibaetis still.

and I see a lot a beatis out here..... I figure they come from the irrigation canals.

Dang, nice pix, Jaymorr!! Heck of a camera and operator, I must say.

I particularly like the last shot of the one-tailed specimen. Allows for a better sight line to his/her 'nads so as to be able to determine the sex, eh??? That was for those of you that are into that type of thing . . . NOT me, man, not me . . .

Do you have any in a size 18? If yes please ship me 2 dozen light dun colored and 1 dozen dark dun colored wings in matched pairs only. What is the shipping fee and do you have other styles?
