Our group of six returned Sunday, with just enough bonefish caught to settle the thirst till next time. We also got into some good Jack fishing in the surf in front of the old Pez Maya, had shots at snook, saw some huge tarpon for this area, but they were motoring. Group totaled four permit, not me though. I did get four takes, and hooked one, but alas, fly came unbuttoned after (or during) and incredible run. Ascension Bay permit continue to elude me. *sob*
Some nice barracuda caught as well.
If you havent fished the flats... well, it can be a lot of fun. Highly reccomended.
