We have an opening for a single on Western Rivers boat on June 22 and need someone to take the spot they charge 185.00 per person and it should be some serious cicada action then. Send me an e-mail and take this spot. We also can arrange travel, hotel if needed.

Getting close here. We will be walking the Green near Little Hole the afternoon of the 21st which is a Monday. We will leave the SLC area early that morning with enough Bugs, Beer and Cigars to make it through the day and evening on the River. Then we will see if we can get arrested in Vernal that evening and try to ride a mechanical bull if they have one. More beer of course. We have a couple rooms in Vernal and I will pick up the tab, you will have your own bed and share a bathroom with the Hillside Angler, he in the cleanliest of the three of us. From that point we will get up early on the 22nd and Launch with 2 boats guided by Western Rivers for a full day of Guide and Fish hooking, hopefully on some fatty cicada patterns while we smoke cigars that look like fatty cicadas. At the end of the day 2 you will crack open your wallet for the first time (unless you like to eat or drink) and whip out $185 plus applicable tip. We will be swapping people between the two boats if time permits so you can get a couple points of view. Hillside has promised to not make you tie on his flies or tippet. All transportation, lodging and gass will be provided for you. My wife's car is very comfortable and we will be watching how to videos and listening to Rob Zombie, Tool and the Grateful Dead, plus any CD's you would like. You can have shot gun if you call it. Bueller doesn't want to fork out $200+ for a weekend of fishing I guess. Seems a little steep for me too. I just have a hard time paying a guide to fish the Green. Maybe I'm just a tight wad... Who knows. Good luck on your search. And remember, Flysmyth will trade you a carpet (bissell) cleaning, or a lesson in Judo.

Strange that it is a tough sell. At least you have your Something Wicked quote almost right. Is the red planet the Green River? I need to get down with this Lingo. I would imagine most people, even those unlikely to admit it, would benefit from a guide on any non-home water. Besides, the do provide the boat and river transport which could be a pain for even locals. If I weren't me, I would pay the $$ just to hang out with me.

You really should hook up with FlySmyth. You two are like peas n' carrots. The dates really don't work for me, but how much to just hang out sometime?

That would be great, I bet I could learn a lot about (posting on this) flyfishng (website) and learning how to read a (post about a) river. Just kidding. I usually fish the Provo below Deer Creek but I would love to try some new techniques and waters. Raposanegra was my guide and helped me with my dry fly cast, presentation and drift but I have lacked hatches. Unfortunately, fly fishing is a planned outing for me because I have 2 small children and my prestigious job (I invented Pants). I am about to go to market with a new product known as "Shorts".

Besides, you could just meet us for the Drift part on the 22nd! Drop me a line at thoredson@cs.com and I can shoot you out my cell.

How much for a guided trip on the Lower Provo? I rarely get to fish it in the summer due to the epic human hatch. I sure could teach you how to post on our "hang out day". how much how much how much? Can I bring Grizz and Chris, and Chrizz?

As far as pants go, do you have any that are resistant to BS, because I think I'm would need them on the green with you guys;)

Actually while we are fishing we just decide what lies to make up and tell, then we spread them later. I certainly would not be qualified to "Guide" anyone, anywhere, but I would love to have some new people to go with. Honestly Hillside Angler and FlySmiley are holding me back from my true potential.

You can bring whoever you would like as long as either:

A: They Fish worse than I do

or

B: They are shorter than I am

Short people make me laugh, short people who are excellent fly rod handlers make me cry.

I hit the river during the week, I don't rub too many elbows. Plus, you would be surprised what sort of room a big, lit cigar can open up. I once turned an entire BWO hatch into spinners with one puff.

Thor, without my skills you would not have known that you need to tie a fly on. Quit scaring away the potential trip mates, just tell them that noone could possibly suck as bad as Hillside and leave it at that.

Fine. I can't take the desperation of this thread any longer. I'll take the fourth spot. Shoot me an emil and we'll make the arrangements.
