1amson,

What sort of money did you have in mind? Can you tell me about the action and flex, color and composition? Would it be a good rod for a graduating beginner? I fish a 6 90 that is a St. Croix Premier now. Is this rod signifigantly superior for someone of my limited level? You mentioned you liked your xp better, what is the difference? Does it come with a tube or sock and how many pieces? Would I be able to have Sage's warranty with it?

this is a blue 3 piece rod with a med fast action. You can through a lot of line with this rod but I like my xp better because it is faster and all that I use a six weight for is deep water fishing. I have never liked throughing drys with a six weight but that is just me. The warranty on this rod has never been sent in I think I can check to make sure. if you would like to cast it just let me know I live in utah county but work in salt lake..

It sounds like a great stick. I have a decent rod now, also a 6 weight. I don't have that much skill when it comes right down to it, I seem to puch the fly better with a 6 weight than a lighter rod. What sort of money did you have in mind?

Well the question begs to be asked. Do you want to trade carpet cleaning for it?

FlySmyth.

PS I'll throw in a dozen of my favorite bugs.

Thor,

Since you have a 6 weight already, I have an Orvis Silver label 4Weight, 8 foot with an Orvis Battenkill reel loaded with WF Wonderline for sale at $250. It is a medium action rod, great for dries on Medium rivers such as the Provo. The rod is in great condition as is the reel. Seperate cases for the rod and reel included. If your interested contact me at gmaddock@firstam.com

Lamson, sorry to hijack your thread. What about that 8 weight?

Is your carpet new, still on the roll. I ask because some people have taken up carpet to let it dry after a flood and just need it laid back down and stretched in place.

FlySmyth.

PS Obviously one price would be a lot cheaper than the other.
