To all members and friends of the Trout Unlimited, Weber Basin Anglers Chapter 681,
We are having a fund raising, auction, and dinner on Thursday, May 20th 2004. Social hour will begin at 6:00 pm with dinner following at 7:00 pm. The Banquet will be held at the Timbermine Restaurant located at 1701 Park Blvd., Ogden. The cost will be only $30.00 per plate. By keeping the cost per plate low, we hope that more of our members and families will be able to enjoy a great evening. With that said, donations in excess of $30.00/plate would not only be gladly accepted, but much appreciated. We will be serving Steak or Halibut, with all the fixings.
We in joint effort with other local affiliates are helping to raise the $65,000.00 to $90,000.00 needed to restore a section of the Logan River system called Spawn Creek, which has been spoiled due to uncontrolled animal grazing. Fences and riparian repairs are in order for that project. We are also raising monies for a Water Flow study to be done on the upper section of East Canyon Creek in which we are working to acquire water rights to guarantee year round stream flow. We will be auctioning off some really great fly rods, reels, pontoon accessories, and much more. We will also be raffling some great items so come join us this night of fun and eating, and meet some of your fellow Trout Unlimited partners. We have a fantastic group of members and are currently meeting at least once a month. This Mays meeting will happen to be during the dinner and auction.
If you’re planning on attending, you will need to contact one of the Leaders listed below and give an RSVP by May 15. We have only set this up for 100 plates, so we need to have an RSVP! Please note that the general public is welcome, so if we need to reserve more space we will do so! We feel they will accommodate our needs with proper notice. Our chapter is over 350 people strong, we should have no problem filling 100 seats!
For further information and tickets to this worthwhile cause, please contact one of the Chapter Leaders listed below.
