Free Foam!

A buddy of mine is a salesman for a local packing materials company and he gave me a couple of foam samples he was done with. I have some black, some white and a little chartreuse.

The black and white ones are 1/16th thick, and are labled "Toilon Crosslinked PE Foam, Density: TI-40".

The Chartreuse is 1/8 inch thick and labled "Microcellular Closed Cell Foam, Polymer: PE/EVA, Density 5.3-6.5 PCF, Hardness 35-45 Shore C".

Does anyone know how to get some different colors than what they sell in the fly shops. The yellow foam colors they sell are just too bright, a more pale color or quasi tan would be better for hoppers. Anyone know?

I have tried bleaching it out, and that stuff is untouched by sun and clorox!

I just picked up three sheets of cicada orange for a buck. Kinda nice. That was at Macs craft store. Also they have a variety of colors. If you go to Macs make sure to go to a location other then the one up by Whitmore library on 7200 south. The craft colors are limited to Orange and Green right now. I know the one in Bountiful has every color including foam with peel off sticky backing.

Also Walmart carries square foam sheets in different colors.
