The scheduled work at Affleck Park has been moved to May 10, 2003 due to forecasted inclement weather, the Idaho fly tying expo and the current closure of a certain stillwater most of us want to fish after the work is done. We are now planning this activity for Saturday May 10, 2003

Jason requested some detail on this event...It is item #2 on the Stoenfly Society's projects:
April the 22nd, Thursday - Status of the Provo River Management, Richard Hepworth, Utah Division of Wildlife Resources -
There has been intense controversy regarding the management of the Provo. Richard Hepworth will present the latest findings from surveys conducted on both the Middle and Lower Sections of the Provo River. These data help explain the DWR's concern regarding the status of the river. He is going to have the latest information from last fall’s electro shocking in comparison to past surveys. He will also provide further details on the Division of Wildlife Resources plan to monitor this important fishery. The meeting will be at 7:00 PM at the Salt Lake County Fish and Game Association meeting house. For information on how to get to the clubhouse please visit the stonefly Society’s website at http://www.stoneflysociety.org/streamteam.htm
Postponed from April:
May the 10th, Saturday - Affleck Park—Little Dell Stream Restoration & Trail Work in Mountain Dell - The scheduled work at Affleck Park has been moved to May 10, 2003 due to forecasted inclement weather, the Idaho fly tying expo and the current closure of a certain stillwater most of us want to fish after the work is done. We are now planning this activity for Saturday May 10, 2004. Brock would like to clear and partially construct a trail for access in the Little Dell area to allow better access in part for future egg planting. The Stonefly Society has obtained the necessary permits and we will be building a trail that reduces erosion impacts on Little Dell Creek. We will also be doing some stream restoration at this location as well. For information please contact Brock Richardson at 487-2222.
May 19th, Wednesday, 7:00 PM - BBQ & Casting Games - Willows Ponds in Murray
