First ever!

Well, good news! I now have my first blank and good to make my first rod! I ended up going with a 6'6" 2wt blank. Pretty nervous on making it, do not want to mess it up. I have lots of reading to do prior, but if anyone would like to give some words of advice! I'm listening!

Dont worry about it too much. have fun on your new (and expensive) hobby. Any questions you have lots of people to ask.

Good Luck- I think its a blast- the first rod I built is still my favorite, but I just got a new blank in the mail yesterday and ordered another one. They are fun to build. I am making everyone I know rods, my wife says "but they don't fish." Oh well.

Hey why not- I didn't say how well I built them. But it can't hurt for you to get on the list. Once all the non fly fishing in laws and neighbors get their new rods my buddies from UOTF are next.
