I have secured a good discount from snake brand snake guides and will be placing an order this week on some guides and agate strippers. For those of you not aquainted with Snake Brand guides these are simply the best. They sit flat on the rod from the start, the feet are formed perfectly with no additional grinding or bending required, the feet sit lower that any other brand for the least amount of hump under the thread, there are no burn marks on the feet from grinding, they are excellent. The stippers have a decorative agate stone insert that makes a good rod stand out. I would not put a agate stone stripper on a $15.00 blank but for those of you making rods from good blanks and want an the extra special touch these are are the way to go. If you are interested go to www.snakeguides.com and look over the site they have black, chrome, and bronze guides and tip tops. I have secured a good discount but depending on the interest the dicount could go up. Email me thru my UTOF member profile and I'll give you the cost with discount I am getting.

A few people have expressed interest in ordering some guides from these guys . http://www.snakeguides.com/ If any one would like to get in on this order please email me I would like to keep a minimum order per party of $100.00 before discount $$$. Now having said that, if you ordered for 2 rods each with a nice agate stripping guide you should be close to that total. I have not ordered from him in a few years but I think if we put in a good order we will get the 40% discount which will turn that $100.00 order into a $60.00 order. And a nice Agate Sripping Guide from $30.00 to $18.00.
All these guides are hand made in the USA by Mike Mckoy and is family.
Mike is a true craftsman and these guides beat the hell out of some cheep Chinese Crap that even the top rod companys put on there $500.00 rods.
I know if I am going to take the time and build a rod, I want to put something a little nicer on it. Agate Stripping guides are alot nicer that a cheesy steel ring. Would like to get the order out by Jan 10th. Group up to meet the Min order.
