Replacing Reel Seats

Is it possible to replace a reel seat or do I have to replace the handle to? If I heat the old seat up, will that loosen the epoxy so I can twist it out?

yes, you can also heat up a pot of boiling water and submerge the seat in the water for a couple minutes. Play with it at times and see when it will come off. I have salvaged a few seats this way off of broken rods.
