A Better Way to Wrap~

I started using this method last night and works pretty well. Tie in the hackle and wrap backwards:

This will help with not crowding the eye and making the eye look a lot cleaner.

Tying it off sounds like it would be more difficult that way.

I had read that and tried it out myself, but for purposes of tradition had forgotten about it. I liked how it worked out in the end. Thanks for the reminder. Trent(on the site)ties his nymphs in a similar way. Very clean.

I was shown that method about a year ago and have used it on almost every dry fly since then. Not only does it make the head cleaner and access to the eye easier, it also makes my fly's last a whole lot longer. Great method.

Yes it has been happening on some of my wraps. I have been trying to push them forward when I wrap and that helps a bit. Also another thing that I have been doing is triming them off and then I put a small amount of dubbing on before I whip finish and that covers anything up to make it look clean.
