Our next tying club meeting will be Wednesday February 18th at 6pm. We'll be meeting at Western Rivers. Due to the lack of available nights at WR, this was the only night we could reserve. The theme for the evening will be Favorite Green River Flies (baetis, midges, scuds, streamers, etc). Keep in mind anyone is welcome to attend. And don't forget your fly tying stuff. Fish on!

Thanks Jason, I will mark it on the calendar before my wife can plan something else for me to do that night.

We should definitely tie a few astros while we are there. What a great little midge pattern. They should work really well on the green. I wish I was going on that trip with you guys....

Finally a night I can attend.

This will be my first attendance. Other than fly tying gear, is there anything else I should bring? No, that doesn't mean I'll bring the beer.
;-P
I'm really looking forward to this.

Nope, just bring your fly tying stuff, a beverage of your choice if you'd like, that's it. We'll be pretty laid back on Wednesday night and stocking up on flies for our Green River trip. baetis emergers, midge emergers and adults, midge clusters, and maybe some streamers. Oh, I'm getting excited for this trip. IT should be awesome.

wednesday sounds fun. I need to stock up on BWOs as well, even though I'm not going to be getting out to this trip. the only thing that might hold me back is Wed is the night that I go kick Carpman's butt at B-ball. this is going to be a tough one.

Just wanted to let everyone know that I had a blast last night. Alan Chidesters presentation of flyfishing Argentina was the same night and I wanted to attend that event as well. Since it was my night out with my Son I asked him what he wanted to do and he replied "I want to go tie some bugs".

Ben thanks you all for letting him hang out (he was to shy to say it LOL).

Thanks for the eats and stories Mike and Lonnie! I am sorry some of you could not make it....I know the Celebrity Mole was on and pressing HAHAHAAH j/k.

You're the man being able to tie with your boy on your lap. It looks like you've done it before. You're a good dad.

Congratulations on your purchase. I would consider setting that thing up on a box or something so that you are not always looking down at it. But, that's just me. I like to tie at eye level.

You and the other guys are great tiers. I couldn't get anything accomplished because I was too busy watching what Jason H. was doing. I'll have to stay longer next time and bring more materials now that I know what it's all about.

I did learn the astro midge and for the first time saw the pullover technique.

Cool flies.

Fun times.

Fred, we have yet to go toss some line! Let's do it soon. Tying night is always a great time out. I look forward each month to seeing everyones new creations and the stories that back some of those patterns up.

I am always amazed and improve from the talent that shows up each month from Utah On The Fly members. We really do have some incredible tyers on the board. I left yesterday wanting to tie up many new patterns.

Also did you see some of the bugs Stout Trout was tying up? Very kewl Stout! Thanks for the ideas.

Foiled again.

Wishin' I'd made it last night.

I really wanted to see the gallows (?) technique on Jason's MM.

I had a good time as well. We even had a few new faces show up, who both had mad skills. There were some good flies tied last night. I still think stout_trout, in his younger years, was one of those kids that lived for Arts and Crafts day and of course involved glue and glitter projects. Now he's trying to incorporate it into his fly tying. Pretty cool stuff. Thanks Fred for the hook up.

Well, when you can't tye with the right stuff as well as the rest of the guys at the table...you start making stuff up. I just figured if I changed the rules a bit, then I could be cool too. So I've decided that I'm pretty good at tying sparkle gummy worms on a hook...It's got to be done just right! And let me warn the rest of you out there, don't just go buy a bag and start tying them on! ...and if you disregard my warning, the for heaven sake! At least wear a helmet!

Anyway. I had a great time. Thanks all.

Brent, I figured I'd pick on you since Junge didn't show up. And where was Shane?

I wanted to and was planning on attending last night for the first time in months. I thought I was home free then I had some last minute issues that came up here at work. I was here till about 8pm last night.

Needless to say it was a big time bummer, I was looking forward to getting together with everyone before the Green trip.

Hope to do it again boys.
