Matching the Hatch: Entomology 101
A great way to increase your fishing success is to gain a better understanding of the insect life in and around your favorite trout stream. Jason Haslam of Utah on the Fly will present a slide show showing the different lifecycles of the insects we commonly try to imitate. If you want to tie better flies, or just want to increase your chances while out on the water, come learn the basics of entomology.
11am - 12pm at the Salt Lake Orvis Store.

Yep, I am kind of like a governor on a car. I would have to go to regulate Flysmyth's fuel intake. And there's no need to buy krispy kremes. He'll eat anything;)

I will miss this Saturday, scheduled to work that day.
Does this statement mean that there may be more Saturday seminars?

I have been planning on tying at the SW in Ogden. I was just giving Flysmyth aka "donut vacuum" a hard time. I'm waiting to hear from Steve. Jason, should I call him?

Dude, I'm pretty sure Steve is still counting on you coming on Saturday. He posted it back on the Saturday Tying Demos thread. Calling him is the best way to get a hold of him. Call Sportsmans up in Ogden and ask for Steve Capps.
Cyphus, Orvis has free seminars every Saturday at 11am until the middle of March. Check the Calendar page for details.

I just talked to the guys at SW on Riverdale. I will be tying there for sure. Saturday at 10:00 am. I will be tying: Softshell Craw, Olive Willey, Bunny Midge, Dahlberg's Diver, Foxy Minnow. I need some more suggestions. Does anybody want to see anything specifically?

That might be enough...the regulars ask lots of questions. But, the bunny midge would impress all. Bring some clips or foam pieces to pass the flies around the group.

I'm interested in all of those you've listed, Cheech. I'm also interested in a good callibaetis nymph pattern and maybe a callibaetis emerger, if you have some ideas in that direction. But, maybe the ones you've listed already will be enough. They are all ones I'm very interested in. Hope to be there.
Dang, another day I have to make a choice on - Jason's show or yours. With all due respect to Jason, I think your's holds more interest for me, though.

I am going to be sorry to miss Jason's presentation. he already knows all my secrets (he even has pics of me ....ing in the bushes). I need to learn more about Entomology. Jason has some Killer pics of bugs hatching and such. And I owe him props for hijacking his thread. I'll shut up now.
