Just got back from a four day trip to Clear Lake in Idaho. There were 6 of us and we each caught between 25 to 50 fish per day. Not hard to do on Clear Lake. Alot of ugly looking Rainbows with a few Albinos mixed in. Weather was decent. Sunny most of the time with the occasional breeze. Averaged about 35 degrees. Our last day was Tuesday 03/05 which ended up being the best weather day and as a result the best fishing day. Biggest fish ended up being 24 inches and about 6lbs. Clear Lake is good for at least one trip per year.

Its about 4 hours from SLC. You go to Twin Falls and then head west to a little town called Buhl. Once you're in Buhl get on Clear Lakes road and you'll cross the Snake River. Right after you cross the Snake there will be a sign that says Clear Lake Country Club on the left hand side. Take that road and your there. If you want to see some five or six foot Sturgeon, stop at the visitors center at the Hatchery and they have a viewing tank.
One piece of advice though........ If you're planning on making the trip, you'll want to do it before it gets too warm, because the moss becomes a big factor. The water temp stays in the upper 40's during the winter which means the moss comes on sooner than most waters.
Tight Lines!!!
