Larva Lace Worldwide, makers and distributors of Larva Lace body materials, foams, thread, head cement and other fly tying products has started a Larva Lace Fly Tying Contest. The winner will receive a brand new Albright EX rod and Albright 'Tempest' reel. In addition to the grand prize Albright rod and reel package, there will be four quarterly winners that receive a gift certificate for $50 for the purchase of Larva Lace products.
Here's how it works, just send in a completed, original (or near original) Larva Lace fly with step-by-step tying instructions and photos. The entries will be judged each quarter and the four quarterly winners will vie for the FLY OF THE YEAR and the Albright rod and reel! (no multiple quarterly winners either, sorry).
We'll post the winners on our web site and include your pattern information in our international e-newsletter!
The judges are Phil Camera (inventor of Larva Lace), Chuck Furimsky (inventor of Bugskin and fly tyer extraordinairre) and me, Chris Linderman (president and owner of Larva Lace Worldwide). Our decision is final and, while the stakes are exciting, this is supposed to be fun and promote fly tying, so we hope no one takes this too seriously!
