Friend of mine burned me 4 CD's from Johnny Cash. These are the last 4 he did before he died. When he was dropped from his record label he picked up with a rap/hip-hop producer who basically said "do what you want and i'll have the tape running". These 4 CD's are really remarkable for the range and depth of the man. They make for terrific listening while working on my 1,455th sparkle dun!
If Mike and Jason want to make a peer to peer fly fishing music exchange site, I'll dump them on.

I had the tying bug yesterday, and it was a mix of baby mozart, and Jack Johnson. I just got the soundtrack for Thicker Than Water. It rocks. Surfer music is cool. It helped with adams, para hare's ear, and patriots.

Rick Rubin (the produce) is awesome. What great insight to give the man/singer such freedom. My favorites Johny Cash songs from this era are Delia, Rusty Cage and Hurt. Hurt, originally written by Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails with regards to heroine addiction, speaks to Cash's own experience with Alcohol and pain killers. On this track, he's got one of the soulful voices I've ever heard....

This weekend I tied everything to the "Samples". I wish they would come back and play here in Utah soon again.
