I'd like to head up there tomorrow(Sat.) and was wondering if the fishing is any good. Im debating between Prover or Weber river. I would like to stay closer to home if the fishing is good on the Weber. Any reports will be greatly appreciated. Are streamers still effective in the winter?
Thanks
Jon

Headed up the Weeb' in about an hour or so.
It's colder than crap but cabin fever and a finally finished remodeling job is pushing me out.
Debating between the middle (between the reserviors) or Taggart - suggestions?
River's pretty much frozen solid at 84/89 - any better upstream?
Thanks
Scott

I went to the Weber above Rockport this morning with a couple buddies. Man was it cold. After a couple of casts our lines were coated with ice. A few more casts and our flies were encased in tiny globes of ice. There was slush floating down the river. Brrrrrrr. Our time was limited so we couldn't wait for it to warm up. Our next stop was the Spring Chicken Inn for breakfast. On the bright side, I saw the sun for the first time in two weeks.

Ditto on Johnny's thread, except I was between the reserviors - WAY cold & WAY frozen - very, very, little open water. Even if I had gotten a strike, the flies were literally balls of ice! We must have missed it by a week or so.
BTW, found another set of hemos in the snow trudging back to the truck. Seriously, that's gotta be the 6th-7th set I've found this year. Whose losing all these!?!?
