Time for the Siberia Chapter of the tying clubs to hold it's January meeting.
It will be this coming Tuesday Jan 6th at 7:00pm at the Whittier in Logan. For those new to the area it is located on the corner of 400 East 300 North (the old school bldg.). Parking in the back is easiest.
All are welcome, new tiers and old and we don't discriminate when it comes to treats!
Nightfish, you are welcome too. Just bring that new saddle you got for Christmas and pass it around for samples!

You probably better bath and get a haircut. I got an idea the Herald Journal will be there.
They've heard about Stef.

Ahhh Larry...you know how to keep those cookies coming!
I'm in! I'll be doing BWO and winter stones.
Maybe we should invite Cary...imagine the article Herald Journal could do on his butt hair nymph :)

What do I need to bring to the fly tying meeting (besides treats)? Do I bring my vise and materials? Also, is there a membership fee like some of the other chapters?

Mebership fee Not that i know of or not that i have paid yet.. Bring your vise and materials for flies you feel like tying. If you feel you can just admire some of the great tyers we have in the valley. They are a great group of people and fun to be around see you tomorrow josh

It's up to you what you bring.
If you want to tie bring your stuff.
No fees, just stories. It's up to us whether we'll believe you or not.
As far as treats go they are usually taken care of although sometimes I feel guilty, the same ones bring 'em every time. The guilt trip usually goes away when I start snacking.
I think I will bring a jug of milk this time though. And some handy wipes in case Stef brings eclairs again..........

What are the lighting contions like? Should I bring a lamp or will I be cross-eyed by the end of the evening if I don't? Also, what about the tables, will they accomodate my 'C' clamp vice or should I bring a pedistal?
John

The lighting is poor. I keep threatening to bring a lamp but I dont. If you bring one you should oughta bring an extension cord also.
As far as the tables go I'm getting on the horn as soon as I get off this site and call them so we should have tables. Some are OK for clamps, most you should have a base.

Was good to see everybody last night.
Good to meet you cadfly.
That rod looks good, Josh.
I need to get a little less serious about tying at those things...I am not getting a proper amount of lying in...didn't even make time to heckle that heretic that was tying bass bugs!

Crosby & Trout4X -- Sorry you didn't get to attend last night. Was a great meeting. Stef brought some amazing brownies! There was a few reporters from the Herald Journal there as well so you'll be able to read all about it in the Sunday newspaper. He took a few shots of Stefanies brownies as well so you might be able to drool over them.
Keep your schedule open for the 21st, that is the Cache Angler meeting.
We did miss you Trout4X...or more specifically your beard. Need it trimmed? Congrats Crosby...grandbabies should win every time!
Nice to meet you Caddfly! Expect a shadow this summer on Willard.
WOW Larry!! Did you ever imagine it would grow so big? I was talking about the group... not my ego ;)

MAN!!! Everyone except me and Flyin Brian got their pics in the paper today... I guess my Elk Hair Caddises got in, but alas, no Herald Journal confirmation of Caddfly's flies.
Oh well...it was good publicity and fun. We'll see you next month!
