I got a coffee grinder for Christmas and want to sparkle up my hares ears dubbing. What do I add to the existing dubbing if I only want more sparkle but the same shade dubbing?
Thanks in advance.

will work fine just to add some sparkle but so will several other items such a flashabou in different colors.
I would suggest you chop up the sparkle stuff first and add about 1/8 th volume to start, as you don't need much to get some highlights to your dubbing. You gotta play with it until you get the results you desire. Then make notes of your mix.
You may also go online to a couple of the manufacturers of dubbing to get mixture hints and they may also be able to point you to some literature on the subject. I can't think of one off hand but I sure some has written about the subject in depth and I have seen similar questions posted here before and well answered.
As many know I hate to dub and will cruise the shops and craft stores for a suitable yarn. The problem with finding suitable yarns in craft stores is that you wind up with too much. I almost prefer to pay the higher price in a fly shop and get just 9 yds. then the 100 yds. you get a craft store. I guess it is like buying inventory space.

Neat way to mix dubbing in the recent Fly Tyer. Mix the dubs together (not the jdubs, heh, heh) in a bottle 1/2 full oof water with a few squirts of dish soap. Shake, shake, and shake. Pour it out in a strainer, wash wiith warm water, and dry. very easy to do with short dubbing (natural or synthetic) but not so hot with the longer synthetics.
