what is your absolute favorite tandom set up? whether it be a dry dropper, tandom dry, double nymph ?

I'll have to say either stimmy and emerger or pop gear and a worm 3 colors down, works great in the deep holes lol.

I think I've tried most of them, but still end up going back to to the ol' tried and true bead head pattern w/ a smaller scud/sow bud/whatever tied directly to the bend w/ about 8"-12" of leader. Split shot 8" above b/h if needed.

Some argue the benefits of the s/shot on the bottom of the rig w/ droppers and loops, but the above setup works well for me, can be retied in seconds, far, far, fewer tangles. and I'm just comfortable with it!

#16 Para Adams with a #20 Gray RS2.

Of course the Adams imitates a number of hatches and the RS2 is a dead ringer for the Beatis nymph that is eaten by all trout 365.

turks tarantula, and a larva lace nymph...... really depends on the water and conditions but that is my goto setup for the green, south fork, and middle. On the lower sow bug and a larva lace nymph or a cased caddis.

I'd go with the double nymph set up. I love fishing with the big dries during the summer, but if I had to choose only one for all year, it would be the double nymph.

I would have to agree with ScottT, although most of the time I prefer not to use the beadhead. I would definately say a double nymph rig though.

Glo bug trailed by a SJ worm dipped in tuna oil. Learned that form Mike.

No really, I would go with a #10 brow SJ Worm trailed by a #20 PT, no bead. On the Lower, it would be a #16 sow trailed by a #18 sow.

#18 or #20 BHPT trailed by a black WD40 flashback underneath...

On top a #14 stimmy with a deep sparkle caddis pupa behind

Or a sculpin trailed by a big brown leaving a wake.

I think Larry S has had good luck with a bra & panty rig.

Larger Elk Hair Caddis (#14 or so) trailed by a PT #18 or #20 maybe 2' behind w/ a tiny splitshot

I guess I would go with a copper john below an RS2, with the RS2 tied off the tag end of a blood knot. This would allow me to fish deep with the CJ, and at any depth with the RS2--even up top by clipping off the Copper John and going to a single "dry" RS2.

No strike indicator.

it is always a pain in the ass to catch and release two fish at once.

That it is palm. It's annoying. especially when they are both 26 inch browns.
