Let's try one more time. Ed K. can you let me know the name of the guy that you get your leaders from. I can't find the e-mail you sent me last summer.

What is the cost of these braided leaders and what are they made of?
Could some post the site that had instructions on making your own leader? Thanks

I have used both the Orvis braided and the furled(Ed's source)leaders and have to say I like the furled leaders better. They are actually less expensive(note- I didn't say cheaper)than the braided. Having said that I do like the Orvis Floating Turnover Leaders but I still think I will stay with the furled.
You treat the furled leader with some Mucilin or other paste type floatant(I use Loon's Payette Paste with excellent results) and yes since I mostly dry fly fish this type leader is the cat's meow.
One thing I have noticed and I posted on the threads that were lost earlier is that when snagged and pulled loose the leader snaps back in a ball. It really isn't too hard to untangle. Easier I think than the braided.

Maybe you already know but there is a website that deals in the furled leaders and describes them and their other leaders. This should help answer some of your questions as to the performance and qualities of them compared to braided and other leaders.
Incidently, this is NOT the source of mine or Ed's leaders. Their price is about double but I am sure they are good. Jim at Round Rock's showed me one of those that was sent to him for promotional purposes.
