In case you may have not noticed yet, but our very own RAW's twisted foam stonefly is the featured fly of the week at flyanglersonline.com. It is an impressive pattern than I am dying to try out.

Thanks for the kind words. I used that Twisted Stonefly on the Blacksmith and Ogden during the stone hatch last year and the trout jumped on it. Can't wait for that hatch again this year.

As far as I know, no local stores have the book yet. Distribution is slower than I expected. I feel strange about making an offer on someone elses web site, and I know Jason has a review of sorts in the works, but if you want to email me I can get you a signed copy of the book at a slightly discounted price. I know it's hard to buy sight unseen, but the price is right.

I would definitely take RAW up on his offer. You'll get something out of the book for sure. And yes, my book review is in the works. Sorry for the delay RAW.

Very nicely done RAW. I know it takes quite a bit of personal effort to put a book like that together.

In addition to our resident Poet Laureate, Walk-In-Water, we now have a published author.

RAW: Don't stop now. What other gems do you have upon which the ink is not dry?

I would love a copy. I think everyone on this site that is even thinking about tying should buy the book. Lets support each other. I have fished w/ one of RAW's patterns before and it was a very nice looking fly.

Raw, awsome flys, do have any twisted foam cicadas in your book? I bet they would work awsome on the green

Great looking fly RAW. I would love to buy a copy of that book. Who knew we had such a celebrity in our mists.

Ouzel,

I have a couple of other nonfiction book proposals waiting for a response from publishers and a work of fiction that may never leave the drawer.

Thanks again for all the kindness. Fly fishers are the best!

RAW,
I'm glad to see the responses to your book. I looked through the proof you had at High Country when you tied there and I would recommend it to everybody!
Robert, you should already have my address, I gave it to you that day at High Country. If you don't have it anymore, let me know and I will send it to you. Email me and give me the cost and where to send a check.
Later, Bruce

Fiction!!! That is when you can really let yourself fly.
There will distractors, there are always the mentally blind to deal with.
Let the low brows not twart you, soar on your own wings.
The work-in-progress (a lifetime) in the drawer may be too precious (right now) to share with others.
"Suffer the slings and arrows", you are on a "Vision Quest".

Ouzel,

Thanks for the encouragement. I am finding you have to be thick-skinned in the writing genre. It seems there will always be those who want to criticize. I find myself doing it too. It's Okay. If it wasn't for those who see the glass as half empty, there would be no need to fill it back up.
