What new fly tying products have you guys discovered recently that you really like to use?

For me it was the discovery of Ice Dub dubbing which comes in a good variety of colors and provides a nice spectrumized finish.

I totally agree that ice dubbing is the best new material yet. This summer, I started mixing all of my nymph dubbing with ice dubbing and have had awsome results. My most productive fly of this year on lakes was a brown leach made out of goat hair and ice dubbing.

Not a new product but I started using Pearl Flash for posts. Any turning of the fly makes the post seem brighter.

I've just started using "Fox Fire" yarn for wings on some H & L's I'm tying up. The stuff glows in the dark. Comes on spools in 1300 & 950 Denier.

The nice thing about both products is they can be attached with a cross tie, trimed to size and wrapped a couple of times to make them upright. Easy

I'm looking forward to see how late I can fish with the Fox Fire. Hit the fly with a flashlight and take midnight Browns. And I've just got to use this stuff on streamers and go after some HOGS I know on the Green and Snake.

Black overcast night, no sound but the river, getting a little chilly, working a big Clouser in a deep hole.

WHAM!!!! Your hand instinctively tightens, you pull back, your rod slams back down and your reel starts to scream like it is being set on fire. You put your palm against the reel rim and burn it. The only thing you can think of is where is the bank and do I have enough backing?

Big Browns at night = River Spooks!

It is not for weak hearts.
