Is it just looks or do coneheads have some areodynamics in casting advantages?

Again thanks in advance.

Anyone that can tell the difference is probably to deep into rocket science to care about fishing.

wiggle in the retrieve? I DO know that they hurt on a sloppy backcast!

Coneheads tend to be a bit heavier, creating a bit more jigging action, or just simply getting down a little deeper. I use cones on many stillwater patterns, as well as many streamers. I prefer them over beads on larger flies because of the "minnow like" profile they create. Not a big difference, but then sometimes little things make a HUGE difference..........

Are you using a fly rod?
