I wasn't going to rate this rod since this graphite isn't made anymore, but after this weekend. soft action and smooth.
When I frist started midge fishing she was the "girl" that I went to. Now she is the "woman" that I will always go to when a 3 wt is the ticket. If you ever see one around -- pick her up- what a sweet sweet rod.

Does she cheat on you? Just a little?
I have a LL940 that's a little more of a woman. Not quite buxomy like a 5wt but does have a sweet presentation and her grip is to die for................... lol

SLT's...........fast???? Hmm, I'll agree an LL is medium action, but the SLT's aren't what I consider fast..........

Well this is an old thread but i will revive it. I have the opportunity to get a Sage LL 389 blank in the burgandy color. Just wondering if there has been anymore reviews on this rod besides the previous ones. What would be a good price on the 2 pc blank rod?
It is, bar none, the best three weight ever made.

My 490 LL is proabably my favorite all-around rod. Sweet action!

This is also what i have been hearing. Granted i may have to build on a few cheapos before i attempt to wrangle such a nice rod. I have attached a pic of the blank in question.

Anyone know the difference in the graphite 2 and graphite 3 models? Im assuming the graphite 2 is the more desireable due to the softer action? The graphite 3 looks like it has more brown in the color.
