Spanish Fork River Help

My friend wants to try the Spanish Fork River by Thistle. I am looking for information on access to the river, is it open or private. I have never fished there and have no ideas. If it is open what type of flies are productive. I thank you for any information in advance.

Hey Bigshane, have not seen you on here before, welcome. Spanish Fork River is slow right now, you could probably pick up a few, fish below Thistle Damn, and just above where it joines with Thistle. Use a PT or other small nymph pattern. An elk hair caddis might work well on top. Have fun.

Thanks for the welcome gware, and the advice. I have been a member for a month or so just haven't been real active in responses or questions. I just started flyfishing about a year ago so I am still learning the techniques and watching to see how it all works. Hope to learn it all eventually. Thanks again.
