Back to the Straight Shank!

I'm going back to the straight shank on the twisted foam patterns. I went to the curve similar to a 200R in hopes that the fly would land correct more often. Still wanted to flip upside down. And I could not hook a fish for my life. I'm thinking the body is in better alignment for hooking on the straight shank, at least on the smaller fish.

RAW- Did the same thing- fooling with a method of attaching that extended twisted foam body to the back of the hook and still making it look good----- not there yet- though I think there is a way of putting short back legs on it and achieving it, have tied it down there, but would like a different way.
