Just had a thought pop in my head, and I'm wondering if anyone could help me figure out how to put it to work.

I was thinking about taking a small/medium sized clear plastic box streamside so I could seine up some bugs and watch how they swim and/or crawl. It should be strong, lightweight, easily tucked into a daypack, very clear & relatively free of distortion, and with a big enough opening to easily fill & drop in specimens.

Any ideas?

Use a one gallon plastic zip lock bag. Takes up no space when empty. Holds plenty of water and gives the bug plenty of room to swim, crawl, etc.

Thanks Dennis! Here I was wondering how to assemble a mini aquarium with lexan or something, and the simple answer was in my kitchen drawer! It'll fit nicely in my vest, rolled up with my seine!

nightfish the power of just asking for help. What a great tool this site is, ask questions and questions are answered.
