Help!!!

I finally sat down to finish up my flies for the "Faint of Heart" swap, and realized I was a little shy in the hook department. I need about 1/2 dozen TMC 921 size 16. Don't know of anyone here locally that caries them, I thought I had picked up 2 packs last time I was down south, but I bought one 16 and one 18 :-( Does any of the Cache Valley crew have any of these, I would pay top dollar to save myself a trip south for 6 hooks.

Why don't you see if Carpman at Fish Tech will put some in the mail for you as a special favor and only bill you the cost plus actual postage?

All he can do is say no - he'd still like you and all!

Either that or gware at his new shop, Lone Peak, in American Fork. One of them should be willing to if you gave them a credit card number or something.

What flies are you tying? Just go get the last six from a fly shop and pretend you tied 'em.

Trout4X, here is some math for you:
27 people in swap
I have 25 (1 pack) flies
I need 6 more

RAW, I actually decided to tie a chain-stitch PMD (you were right BTW, it is easy to do). I havn't seen any in flyshops around here yet, and besides - a blind man could tell my flies from flyshop flies......

Hopefully you will have another 27 hooks of the same size for the second flye, plus extra for Trout 4x.

Tell ya what....I have your TMC 921 2xs 1xf but they won't be cheap :) I'll give you 8 of them if you agree to deliver my flies when Trout4X gets them sorted (I'm sick of making cookies to pay him off!!!) And you throw in a couple extra flies for me.
I'll have them at work tomorrow if you want to pick them up...Trout4X can tell you that I'm always at my desk working hard.

(thats his penalty for being a smartass). and I will deliver your flies, or if you'd like, I could by the Ex-Lax for Trout4X's "cookie tarif". I don't know where you work though, and you shouldn't post it here with the weirdos and all (see MartL), so send me an E-mail.

You are 100% correct...lots of weirdos on this site. Thanks for the reminder. And the extra flies will be much appreciated, especially knowing one of them would have gone to an above mentioned weirdo ;) One day we'll find a way to control him.

Steelie you are doing me a favor by saving me from eating the cookies.

Good luck in finding her at her desk it took me 3 trips to pick up a set of flies the first time, she is always calling in sick or going on a trip.

Thanks again for the hooks stef, you have saved me more than you know, if I would have had to drive south for them then the Mrs. would have wanted to tag along, then she would insisit on shopping, those hooks would have ended up costing me several hundred dollars..........
