I heard that they are all dead.

Every single one.

There are no more.

No one should go fishinging there.

Fish the Cub in Idaho, this weekend or the next would be the best for your money.

Embarassingly (sp?) enough, yes I have. Even more embarassing, I caught one - and was proud.....LOL

Way to go Steelie! Did you do it this year? It's not on the UTOF Challenge list, but I think it would be worth at least a point... more if you had to sneek to your neighbor's fountain to hook the beasts!

As a matter of fact - it was my nieghbors fountiain. This was about 4 yrs ago or so, I live in a big Condo complex with a pond in the middle, it wasn't posted, but of course I knew this was wrong, so I waited unitl the masses went off to church and snuck down there, caught a big white one with orange spots, then ran away giggling. Its posted now, wonder if someone saw me....LOL

BTW - the whole thing took me about 2 minutes, they are pretty used to eating bread and whatnot - I just picked out a colored one (most of them are just plain old carp) made one cast with a bugger, and I was in business. So I guess I'm batting 1000 in my Koi fishing history...........

Kingfisher,

There are still plenty of fish in Pelican. MWSpearo just doesn't want to share his fish with the rest of us, and I can't say I blame him. Go fish and have fun...........

Dam Carpman,

You of all people should know how this game is played....Didn't you see the article in this mornings paper....no more water ... no more fish...guess we'll all have to sell our fishing gear at greatly deflated prices.....:)

Pelican is just fine...a little bit slow fishing right now but when the weather warms...the fishing will pick up!!! As for the Cub???? Heard that there was a massive fish kill there .... I'm thinking yesterday or was it today????... we are currently investigating...:)

You guys never cease to make me laugh. And I thought I was the most devious and sarcastic guy on earth. I guess Todd Mangum (from Sportsman's) fished Pelican recently and he only managed to get a few bass in an entire day. Todd is very skilled fisherman and him not catching alot of fish out of Pelican is a little strange. It is a fact that the lake is VERY low and that the Uintah Basin had a harsh winter, so I hope you guys are right about the fish being 'just fine'. I guess we will all find out soon enough. Fish On!

Keep in mind, the UOTFly Pelican Trip is next weekend and it's still on. Cheech will most likely be posting an update and tentative plans/meeting places/sleeping arrangements/ or whatever else.
