Heres the skinny. I go in for surgery on the 14th of May, or next Wednesday. They are going to remove the tumor, and put me in a Colostomy bag for 6 months, or permanently, Depending on how close the tumor is to the rectum. (Rectum hell, they are distroying the hole thing) Since of humor here. Need it to go through this S**t. Then they are going to do more Chemo on me. I think I have turned into a guinea pig. Any way... Not really having a lot of fun with this, but I am trying to make the best of it. I am positive they will get everything, but man are they putting me through hell. Hope to get out and do a couple days fishing before I have to go in. Keep me in your prayers, and thanks to all..........

Glad to hear your still fighting hard, sounds like your winning. About the colostomy bag - I've known 3 different people that had to have them (2 of them permenantly) , they all have said its not nearly as bad as when you first fear of getting one. Not much consolation I know.......

I hope things works out well for you. my cousin had that surgery, and is doing quite well. he was pretty sick for a while, but if you take care of yourself with it then it's ok. I hope things work out well for you.

I've smelled poop before (calostomy bag), so I'd be glad to stand next to you on the rivers somewhere (hopefully the Salmon this fall). Talk to you soon. :-))

when you fart, you can control WHEN you smell it. and when you don't like someone you can just open a bag on them. :-)

So in stead of a can of whoop ...., you open a bag of ....

Guys, I will beat this thing, and then get back to fishing. Bag or no! I will or someone will keep you posted as to my progress. Time is running short before the surgery, so I am going to try to make it to Strawberry before I go in. Don't have alot of energy, but hell, got to get up there anyway. Can always pace myself, and hope no wind! Week looks bad for any of it with the storms coming in, but I am still going to try. Thanks to all for your prayers, and words of incouragement. For those who know me and have meet me, you know I am no quiter. Just that things are not going like I was first lead to believe. Still I am going to get this behind me (LOL) well anyway I will be able to see that things aren't quite as bad as I seem to think it was after it is all said and done. Again thank you all!
PS Ed, let me know when and where, and what I can do. I may be in the hospital for a little while, but I am going to have some time on my hands, that I won't be into work but still able to help. Let me know. I am going into surgery on Wednesday and will be at St. Marks for the week. Then they say they want me to stay home from work to 4 - 6 weeks. Got plenty of sick leave so that isn't a problem. Just don't like sitting at home and not doing something.......Keep me posted....
